Water resource plan
The Water Resource (Gold Coast) Plan 2006 (listed under the Water Act 2000) was released in December 2006.
Resource operations plan amendment
The Gold Coast Resource Operations Plan amendment (PDF, 821K)* was approved on 28 October 2010 and commenced on the 1 November 2010. The amendment provides changes to the operational rules of the raised Hinze Dam to ensure the water resource plan’s objectives and outcomes are met. It also clarifies the existing policy intent of the plan through the correction of minor errors.

Community consultation
A consultation report (PDF, 249K)* documenting how issues raised in submissions on the Draft Amended Gold Coast Resource Operations Plan were considered and dealt with in finalising the amended plan.
