Wild Rivers map
This website enables you to select an area of interest and obtain a Wild Rivers Map in Adobe Portable Document (PDF) that can be emailed to a valid email address. Wild Rivers Maps can be created by using a Lot on Plan number, a mine or petroleum Tenement number or a central coordinate.

What will a Wild Rivers Map look like?
The Wild Rivers Map produced shows the location and extent of the management areas in declared wild river areas or the extent of the proposed management areas in proposed wild river areas of properties and mining tenements. Information shown on the Wild Rivers Map includes current data reflecting the status of a wild river area as declared or proposed.
All maps display proposed and declared wild river areas, roads and towns.
Maps created by lot/plan display the property boundaries only and do not display mining tenures.
Maps created by tenure type and number display the requested tenure type only (e.g. mining lease) and do not display cadastre or other types of mining tenures.
Maps created by central coordinates display the cadastre only and do not display mining tenures.
The default drawing scale for the maps is 1:15,000. If the selected lot/plan or mining tenure is too large to fit on the map at 1:15,000; the scale defaults to an appropriate scale for the selected feature. Coordinate maps are all drawn at 1:15,000.
Map elements include a scalebar, locality diagram, legend and graticule showing latitudes and longitudes.
Information about your map request is collected to process this transaction. Map requests including that information are logged for quality assurance and product enhancement purposes only.

Create a map by entering a Lot on Plan number
- Only one Lot on Plan number can be entered for each map.
- The lot number input box only needs the lot number entered (e.g. 14)
- The plan number input box only needs the plan number entered (e.g. RP14204)
- If the Lot Plan number is invalid you will receive an email advising that the request for a map has failed.
Create a map by entering a tenure number
- Only the selected tenure type will be displayed in the provided map.
- The tenure number input box only needs the tenure number entered (e.g. 14204)
- There is no need to enter the tenure type prefix (e.g. EPM) with the tenure number
- If the tenure number is invalid you will receive an email advising that the request for a map has failed
Create a map by entering a central coordinate
- The coordinate has to be given in decimal degrees (e.g. 154.5083).
- If your coordinate is in degrees, minutes and seconds (e.g. 154 30' 30") use the degrees calculator (top right) to get degrees minutes seconds changed into decimal degrees format.
- The coordinate should be centred on your area of interest.
- A latitude and longitude is required to provide a valid central coordinate.
- The map scale will be 1:15,000.
- The input boxes are formatted to accept two integers and four decimal places for latitude, and three integers and four decimal places for longitude.
- The negative sign is automatically added to the latitude.
