Discover koalas

At the Koala Centre, you can see koalas up close and learn all about these fascinating Australian animals.

Wander through the centre. The displays tell you all about koalas, from their life cycle to how they've adapted to the changing Australian environment. Free activity sheets are available for children.

See live koalas too! But you won't be able to touch them. These are wild animals so handling is not allowed.

In the centre's top level, you can talk to Rangers and volunteers. Find out how to look after koalas in your local area. You can also get information about other native animals and national parks.

Watch a video in the Midnight Woodland Theatre and explore the bush at night-time. Go on a journey through time, from the age of the dinosaurs to the present-day and find out how to protect koalas.

Purchase a souvenier or just take away a better understanding of koalas and native animals.

After you have seen all the displays, climb the treetop tower and look for koalas in the trees outside the centre.

After visiting the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, enjoy a bush picnic or a quiet stroll through the Forest Reserve. You might even see a koala up a gum tree! An estimated 130 koalas live in the forest and up to 5000 koalas live on the Koala Coast.
