Many plant and fungi species are known to be poisonous to stock and to humans. These species may be native or non-native, but most human plant poisonings are associated with garden or house plants and often involve children or pets. The Queensland Herbarium provides a free plant identification and advisory service for suspected poisonous plants. More information on common poisonous plants is available from the Poisons Information Centre.
WARNING! In the case of a poisoning, call the Poisons Information Centre 13 11 26 immediately.
