Sites are grouped by basin and ordered by station number.

• Drainage Division I includes all Queensland streams that flow into the Pacific Ocean.


This division includes 46 river basins.

All Queensland site numbers within this division begin with 1 .


• Drainage Division IV includes all streams that flow into the Murray Darling system.


This division comprises five river basins.

All Queensland site numbers within this division begin with 4 .


• Drainage Division IX includes all streams that flow into the Gulf of Carpentaria.


This division covers 19 river basins.

All Queensland site numbers within this division begin with 9 .


• Drainage Division X includes all streams that flow into Lake Eyre.


This division contains five river basins.

All Queensland site numbers within this division begin with 00 .


• Drainage Division XI includes all streams that flow into the Bulloo system.


This division consists of one river basin.

All Queensland site numbers within this division begin with 01 .
