Regional water security program for South East Queensland
A regional water security program was released for the South East Queensland (SEQ) region in November 2006. This program sought to achieve water security during a severe drought period.
The Minister has since directed the Queensland Water Commission (the commission) to give updated advice on regional water security options.
The Minister prepared a response to this advice and released a revised regional water security program.

The commission is required to make a system operating plan to help achieve the desired level of service objectives and provide appropriate rules for the operation of the SEQ Water Grid.
Water supply planning in South East Queensland
The Queensland Water Commission is responsible for water supply planning in South East Queensland. Details of the South East Queensland Water Strategy and associated projects and planning activities can be found on the Queensland Water Commission website.
