Quarterly reporting

All drinking water service providers (providers) operating under a notice must complete and submit quarterly reports to the Office of the Water Supply Regulator.

The purpose of these reports is to summarise the monitoring results for each quarterly reporting period.

NB: A provider is required to report against their current monitoring program.

Reporting is on a defined list of parameters. This list is detailed in Appendix C to the Drinking Water Quality: Quarterly Report—Explanatory Notes and Instructions (PDF, 116K)*.

This list of parameters is subject to change. Providers should regularly review this list.

Quarterly reporting options

Providers have a number of quarterly reporting options including:

  1. a paper-based version of the quarterly reporting form developed by the Department of Environment and Resource Management. Explanatory notes and instructions (PDF, 116K)* have been developed to help providers complete the forms
  2. an electronic application developed by the department—Drinking Water Quality Quarterly Reporting Application. This application can be found on the CD Drinking Water Quality Quarterly Reporting Application (including user guide) sent to providers at the end of June 2009. A user guide is available to help providers use this electronic application.
