IMPORTANT
New arrangements protecting regrowth vegetation will take effect from 8 October 2009. These arrangements replace the regrowth moratorium which ended on 7 October 2009. More information about the new arrangements is available on the regulations for clearing regrowth vegetation page.

Applicant's guides
The Department of Environment and Resource Management has also developed two easy-to-read, plain English guides to help assist applicants to apply for permits to clear native vegetation.
A Landholders’ guide to the regrowth vegetation code (PDF, 1.6M)* (PDF, 1,620kB) has been developed to assist landholders understand and implement the new regrowth regulations.
