Economic transition strategy
Your say on the future of North Stradbroke Island
Public consultation on the draft Economic Transition Strategy (PDF, 416K)* (the strategy) for North Stradbroke Island closed on 31 January 2012. The strategy is in the process of being finalised. A summary of the consultation outcomes will be made available in the near future.
The strategy identifies the future directions for the island community in creating a sustainable, diverse and resilient economy.
The strategy is supported by a Situational Analysis (PDF, 1.0M)*, which provides a detailed consideration of the island and its economy, and a Planning for Action (PDF, 395K)* document (draft action plan), which identifies key early actions to facilitate the transition process.
A four-page summary brochure (PDF, 842K)* that provides a brief overview of the Economic Transition Strategy is also available.
