QPWS energy manual: Development and infrastructure
The Queensland Government’s environmental policies support commitments to sponsor development of environmentally friendly technologies and industries. The Government has endorsed the use of renewable energy resources in national parks and forestry facilities. Provision of remote area power supplies (RAPS) using renewable energy on QPWS managed areas is a key feature of the State’s Focus on Green Power policy, the Queensland Greenhouse Strategy (May 2004) and the Queensland Energy Policy (May 2000).
