Mooloolah River

Location map of the Mooloolah River catchmentThe study area comprises the Mooloolah River catchment covering an area of approximately 221 km2, with 148 km of major stream length within it. The catchment drainage system is dominated by the Mooloolah River, which spans the catchment for approximately 69.8 km. Other major tributaries include Sippy, Addington and Mountain creeks.

Forty-one survey sites were identified within 27 subsections. Thirty-nine of these were full survey sites, while 2 were ‘photograph only sites’. A total of 16 sites were identified in tidal areas.
