Mitchell River
Location of Mitchell River Basin within Queensland
The study area comprises the Upper Mitchell River, Palmer River, Walsh River, Lynd River, Alice River and Lower Mitchell. There are about 15 425 km of major streams in the study area.
Eighty seven subsections make up the catchment area, 61 of which were surveyed. Within these, 88 ‘full survey’ sites were identified.
