Soils and land resources

Queensland soils and land resource information provides a description of landscapes and their characteristics and attributes for land management and planning.

Online reports, manuals and maps are available for browsing and download from the Queensland Digital Exploration Reports System (QDEX). Browsing is available to all site visitors, however for download access you will be required to register by completing the External User Access Request form (PDF)* and faxing to +617 3896 9782. The QDEX information (PDF, 86K)* provides details on system usage.

A spatially enabled search for reports, manuals and maps is available from the Interactive Resource and Tenure Maps site (IRTM). This site allows the user to search for information over an area of interest and discover report details, mapping scale and availability of digital data. Search results are linked to the QDEX site allowing direct access to the reports and maps of the area of interest.

Soil and land resources spatial data is not currently available online but can be requested in ESRI format from the NRSc Data Coordinator using the Data and information order form (PDF, 65K)*.
