Major projects
The department oversees a number of significant science-based projects including:
- State of the rivers
- Queensland Land Use Mapping Project (QLUMP)
- Statewide Landcover and Trees Study (SLATS)
- Brigalow Catchment Study
- Mackay Whitsunday Healthy Waterways Integrated Monitoring Program
- Wetlandinfo
The department also collaborates with other organisations, such as the Consortium for Integrated Resource Management (CIRM) to produce papers.
