South-East Queensland Irrigation Futures - Phase 2 (SEQ-IF2)

SEQ-IF2 program

The Queensland Government has committed funding to a second phase of the South-East Queensland Irrigation Futures program as one of the strategies in the SEQ Regional Plan to supply and use rural water in a sustainable and efficient way.

SEQ-IF2 is a partnership between the Queensland government and the major rural industries engaged in irrigation in the region. The program has been extended for another four years from July 2009.

How to become involved

Landholders who operate an irrigation enterprise in the south-east Queensland region (from Noosa in the north, Toowoomba City to the west, and the Queensland/NSW border to the south) are eligible to join the program. The SEQ map (PDF, 593K)* outlines the region covered by the SEQ-IF2 program.
