Rural water use efficiency (RWUE)
Water is a vital commodity for all sections of the community, and the Queensland Government, through the Department of Environment and Resource Management, continues to support the Rural Water Use Efficiency Initiative (RWUEI) by extending the established partnership arrangements.
RWUEI is a government/rural industry partnership which provides services to irrigators to help them improve water use efficiency and adopt sustainable irrigation management practices. The two programs currently in place are:
- Rural Water Use Efficiency - Phase 4 (RWUE4)
- South East Queensland Irrigation Futures - Phase 2 (SEQ-IF2)
View information on earlier phases of the RWUE & SEQ-IF programs.
