Replacement documentation

The department will replace, free of charge, documentation lost or damaged during natural disasters. This includes record books and movement advices under the Nature Conservation Regulations, as well as information on ownership, valuations and caveats for land. To request replacement documentation, contact a local DERM office.

Building clean up

Home owners, businesses and volunteers involved with cleaning up and recovering damaged buildings should take precautions to avoid contact with potentially dangerous materials. Rebuilding guidelines

Landowners whose property is affected by natural disasters should check the latest information about compliance with environmental regulations when undertaking rebuilding or restoration work. In some cases special provisions or approvals may apply. Read the guidelines.

Statewide independent Commission of Inquiry

The Queensland Government has established a statewide independent Commission of Inquiry to examine the 2011 flood disaster.
