Project details
Anova Solutions developed and trialed a new design of pot for growing plants and seedlings for both commercial nurseries and residential applications. This enables better water management.
About the technology
Due to the Anovapot’s unique design, the pot reduces the amount of water needed to grow plants, improves growth and stops root escape – making it particularly attractive to the nursery industry.
Project status
QSEIF funding provided Anova Solutions with the kick start needed to develop the Anovapot to commercialisation stage. As of 2011, over 6.6 million Anovapots have been sold nationally and internationally.
Anovapot has received several awards including the Smart Approved WaterMark Product of the Year Award for 2010 and the Nursery and Garden Industry Queensland (NGIQ) Nursery Traders Innovation Award for 2005 and was featured on the ABC television program ‘The New Inventors’.
