Property planning programs
There are two broad types of property planning programs:
- government programs
These include property plans required by law or government policy—e.g. land and water management, cattle feedlot or vegetation management plans, land management agreements for renewing rural leases etc. - industry and catchment programs
These include:- industry farm management system (FMS) programs such as Cotton BMP, Dairying Better ‘n' Better for Tomorrow, Growcom FMS, Grains BMP etc
- programs led or supported by organisations other than government or industry—e.g. regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) groups, Catchment groups, Landcare etc.
