Fundamental data
The information on the following databases is fundamental to all survey activities in Queensland. It has been lodged by consulting surveyors and many public and private organisations and complies with the appropriate standards.
- The Survey Control Database (SCDB) contains a register of all permanent survey marks; it includes coordinates, height, access notes and other administrative information. For information on how to access permanent mark information see Geodetic data.
- Digital Cadastral Data for all land parcels in the state is continually updated being improved by adding new land parcels as well as improving the spatial accuracy of existing land information.
- The Computer Inventory of Survey Plans (CISP) records details of every survey plan ever lodged in the state. The historical links between plans are crucial to many survey activities and to the history of land tenure investigations.
- The State Geodetic Network provides a fundamental framework against which all spatial information can be related. The department ensures the highest level of integration with national and international surveys.
- Hardcopy survey plans and survey records can be purchased from our business centres.
