Fire Prohibition
This alert is valid from 27 October 2009 to 1 December 2009 (inclusive) and it applies to the following parks:
- Great Sandy Marine Park
- Northern Cooloola, Great Sandy National Park
- Southern Cooloola, Great Sandy National Park
- Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area
- Fraser Island, Great Sandy National Park
Due to continuing high fire danger conditions, please be advised that until further notice, fires must not be lit in the following areas:
- Cooloola including Teewah Beach and Poverty Point campgrounds
- Inskip Peninsula Recreation Area
- Fraser Island, including Waddy Point and Dundubara campgrounds
Your cooperation in the protection of people, property and wildlife is appreciated.
Penalties apply for non-compliance.
