Protected area gazettals update
This page will provide you with details of protected area gazettals resulting from the SEQFA and Wet Tropics forest transfer process and will be updated shortly after gazettals take place.
What has been gazetted so far?
Within the Wet Tropics, approximately 82% of the forest transfer area has been gazetted protected area and so far, 90% (119/132) of the total number of SEQFA forest reserves area have been gazetted. The attached table lists the forest reserves that have been gazetted as at 25 September 2009
