SEQFA grazing program
The SEQFA grazing program enabled graziers who would potentially experience economic hardship as a result of the forest transfers to apply for an extension of the term of their existing authority, so they could adjust their business.
The program was open to everyone who held a grazing lease or permit over areas of forest reserves in the South East Queensland Bioregion.
Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority assessed applications against the eligibility criteria, and QPWS provided case notes and technical advice to the Authority when requested.
An independent panel which included an AgForce representative and an independent probity auditor considered the applications and made recommendations.
