Kirrama Range Road closure
The Kirrama Range Road from Kennedy has been closed by the Cassowary Coast Regional Council until further notice. The only access to Blencoe Falls is via Mount Garnet. Access should only be attempted in dry conditions and four-wheel-drive vehicles are recommended.
Juwun Walk - Seasonal closure
The Juwun walk, which is part of The Wet Tropics Great Walk, is closed every year during the wet season from 1 December to 31 March. Flooding or high river levels make the walk unsafe during this time. If intending to walk at other times, check park alerts for The Wet Tropics Great Walk for updated information

Discover spectacular waterfalls, plunging gorges and inspirational views as you wander through the diverse landscapes of Girringun National Park.

The Wet Tropics Great Walk is a continuous walking track that extends 110km from Wallaman Falls to Blencoe Falls. The Great Walk traverses the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area highlighting the natural and cultural features of this unique area.

The Great Walk provides opportunities for everyone. Take a short stroll, a full-day walk or tackle some overnight camping experiences. For experienced, self-sufficient walkers a hike through the Herbert River Gorge provides a challenging wilderness adventure.
