Be dingo-safe

Be dingo-safe. Photo DERM. Fraser Island's dingoes are wild animals, but some have become threatening to humans. This has happened because people have fed them or encouraged their attention. Even small oversights can make dingoes more fearless. Your actions can make a difference.
- Always stay close to your children, including young teenagers.
- Walk in groups.
- Do not encourage or coax dingoes.
- Never feed dingoes.
- Secure all food and rubbish in strong, lockable containers.
- If attacked, defend yourself aggressively.
Make sure everyone in your group knows how to be dingo-safe.
