Location
Tewantin National Park is located 2 km west of Tewantin and 10 km from Noosa along the Cooroy-Noosa Road.
What's special
Rainforest, open eucalypt forest and remnants of wallum heath between Noosa and Cooroy are protected in this hilly sub-coastal forest. Mount Tinbeerwah (265 m above sea level) is a volcanic plug remaining from volcanic activity millions of years ago. This area is home to the endangered swamp stringybark (Eucalyptus conglomerata) which is a multi-trunked tree with grey, fibrous bark and clusters of creamy white flowers.
