The Go Back in Time program has a strong educational focus with many activities using Theatre in Education techniques designed to engage students' imagination.

| History in a box |
5 & 6 | An educational program using the heritage site of Fort Lytton National Park. Students are exposed to the history of Queensland, presented in an innovative and dramatically engaging way. The program asks the important questions regarding the significance of history to people living in the twenty-first century and empowers students to bring history out of the box. |

| Digging up the Past |
3, 4 & 7 | The program engages students as archaeologists at an actual heritage site. | Quarantined | 6 & 10 | A Theatre in Education program using the Lytton Quarantine Station site. This program explores the practice of quarantining in the 20th and 21st centuries and can be adapted to these year levels. |

| Returned | 9 | A Theatre in Education program exploring the impact of World War I (WWI) with a particular emphasis on Brisbane and Australia. This program takes place inside the fort at Lytton and in the original buildings of Lytton Quaratine Station used during WWI. |

| World War II (WWII) in Brisbane | 10 | The program takes place in and around the WWII Fort Lytton. The program encourages the students to explain the context for peoples' actions in the past and their motivations, values and attitudes. The students will process, synthesise and evaluate information from primary and secondary sources to explore the experiences of Australians during WWII and the impact of WWII on the home front in Brisbane. |

| Defending the land | 10 | Use the historic buildings and museum at Fort Lytton to explore the local and human side of war. What motivated people in the past to feel the need to defend the land?
