Camping information

Camping in Eurimbula National Park

Vehicle-based camping is permitted at Bustard Beach and Middle Creek camping areas. Boat-based camping is permitted at Rodds Peninsula and Bustard Head.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Bustard Beach camping area

Camping area features: shady camp sites within the low eucalypt behind Bustard Beach, just a short walk to water and beach activities.

Location: along the eastern side of the park.

Access: the camping area can be reached by conventional and 4WD vehicles in dry weather. It is accessible to trailers.

Number of sites: 17 defined and numbered camp sites. Maximum of 6 people per camp site.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car.

Camp site surfaces: sand and woodchip.

Facilities: composting toilets, limited rainwater, a shelter shed and picnic tables. Treat all tap water before drinking, or bring your own drinking water.

Open fires: prohibited—fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, gas or fuel stove, rubbish bags, insect repellent. Read more about things to know before you go.

Bookings: book onlineover-the-counter or by phone. Advance bookings required for holiday periods.

Mobile phone coverage: generally not available.

Middle Creek camping area

Camping area features: near the banks of Middle Creek, just a short walk to water and fishing activities.

Location: at the north-eastern side of the park.

Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD or boat. 

Number of sites: open area with no separately defined sites.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car.

Camp site surfaces: sand and grass.

Facilities: composting toilets.

Open fires: prohibited—fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.

Essentials to bring: rubbish bags (no bins are provided), insect repellent, fuel or gas stove, food, drinking water, fuel and medical supplies. Read more about things to know before you go.

Camping area features: boat-based camping by the water's edge.

Location: at the water's edge on Rodds Peninsula.

Access: the camping area can be reached by boat only.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping.

Camp site surfaces: sand.

Facilities: none.

Open fires: prohibited—fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.

Facilities: none.
