Venues for hire

Daisy Hill Conservation Park has sites for hire where visitors can enjoy a peaceful social barbecue, family get-together or wedding reception in the fresh air and bush surrounds.

Opening hours

Daisy Hill Conservation Park has entry and exit gates which are locked each evening.

Between 15 March and 14 October the gates are open from 7.00 am to 5.30 pm. For the rest of the year the gates are open from 7.00 am to 6.30 pm.

Parking

As there are limited car spaces available, so car pool if possible. Holding a group activity permit does not entitle the permit holder to reserve any car spaces.

Shelter shed site

This site is surrounded by native plants and includes a large shelter shed, four picnic tables, two wood barbecues and water (treat before drinking) facilities, with toilets just a short walk away.

Located at car park four in the lower day-use area, the site is separated from the rest of the park, offering relative privacy for groups of up to 100 people.

Bookings are essential and fees apply.

Wedding venues

Daisy Hill Conservation Park offers two picturesque sites—Grey Gum and the Forest Amphitheatre—for outdoor weddings, with towering grey gums making the perfect backdrop for photos.

Grey Gum site

The Grey Gum site is suitable for small or large weddings. Facilities include a small shelter for the ceremony and log seating for up to 100 guests. Located off car park five, the wheelchair-accessible area is separated from the rest of the park to allow relative privacy.

Forest Amphitheatre

The Forest Amphitheatre is suitable for small groups, seating up to 40 adults. A timber boardwalk winds its way to the covered amphitheatre making an ideal aisle for the bride's grand entrance. Located off car park one, the site has basic lighting, power and wheelchair access.

As car spaces are limited, car-pooling is encouraged. A permit does not entitle the holder to reserve any car spaces.

Bookings are essential and fees apply. Inspections of both sites are welcome before making a booking.

Booking a venue

To check available dates and/or make a temporary reservation contact DERM Permits and Licensing Management.

An application for a group activity permit form needs to be filled in to make a booking. Information on the fees payable (which include a non-refundable application fee plus a per person fee) is included on the application form.

Temporary bookings will be cancelled after a four-week period if a completed application form and payment has not been received.

A permit will be forwarded within four weeks of the booking date being confirmed.
