Camping in Crediton State Forest
Bush camp at The Diggings, or stay in the camping areas at Crediton Hall or Denham Range.
Camping permits are required and fees apply. A camping tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Crediton Hall camping area is managed by Mackay Regional Council.
Crediton Hall camping area
Camping area features: grassy reserve around Crediton Hall.
Location: 14.7 km south-east of Eungella on Crediton Loop Road.
Access: the camping area can be reached by walkers and conventional vehicles and on foot from the Mackay Highlands Great Walk.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 24 people.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car; walk-in camping.
Camp site surface: grass.
Facilities: water (treat before drinking), composting toilets, picnic tables.
Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: not allowed.

Denham Range camping area
Camping area features: cool breezes and views from the mountain ridge.
Location: 38.4 km south of Eungella via Eungella Dam and Cockies Creek roads.
Access: the camping area can be reached by walkers and 4WD vehicles.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites. Maximum of 24 people.
Campsites are suitable for: tent camping beside your vehicle; walk-in camping.
Camp site surface: dirt, grass.
Facilities: water (treat before drinking), composting toilets.
Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: not allowed.

The Diggings camping area
Camping area features: tall trees shade a grassy clearing near Broken River.
Location: 9.5 km west of Broken River off the Eungella Dam Road.
Access: the camping area can be reached by 4WD vehicles.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping next to your car.
Camp site surface: grass.
Facilities: none.
Open fires: permitted. Bring your own clean, milled timber. Fuel stoves are recommended.
Generators: not allowed.
