Camping in Camooweal Caves National Park

The Nowranie Waterhole camping area provides a stopover for weary travellers to camp and refresh in a remote bush setting.

Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Features: a peaceful camping area beside the seasonal Nowranie Waterhole on Nowranie Creek.

Location: 14 km from the park entrance.

Access: by conventional vehicle is possible in dry weather although some difficulties may be experienced at creek crossings or on rocky sections. The road is not suitable for conventional vehicles towing caravans. A four-wheel-drive vehicle is recommended.
Number of sites: open area without separately defined sites.
Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping beside your car and camper trailers.
Camp site surface: dirt and grass.

Facilities: pit toilet and picnic tables in a shelter.

Open fires: not allowed. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generators: not allowed.

Essentials to bring: drinking and washing water, rubbish bags, insect repellent and fuel stove. Read more about things to know before you go.
