Brook Islands National Park

Location

170 kilometres north of Townsville, 30 kilometres north-east of Cardwell.

What's special

This group of small tropical islands forms an important bird breeding site. Public access is not allowed onto the islands (see restricted access area notice (PDF, 109K)*), but an extensive fringing reef around them offers excellent snorkelling.
