Camping in Brampton Islands National Park

Bush camping is available on Carlisle Island only. Camping permits are required and fees apply. A tag with your booking number must be displayed at your camp site.

Neils camping area, Carlisle Island

 

Camping area features: secluded camping area nestled on Carlisle Island’s shore and overlooking Brampton Island.

Location: on the south-west edge of Carlisle Island, facing Brampton Island and adjacent to the channel separating Brampton and Carlisle islands.

Access: the camping area can be reached by boat (only).

Number of sites: three sites (separate but not numbered). Maximum of 12 people.

Camp sites are suitable for: tent camping.

Camp site surface: sand and grass.

Facilities: pit toilets, picnic table.

Open fires: prohibited. Fuel stoves are recommended.

Generator use: not allowed.

Essentials to bring: drinking water, rubbish bags, insect repellent. Read more about things to know before you go.
