Processing Arrangements for current exploration, mining and petroleum tenement applications
Three key periods determine how the department processes current tenement applications lodged:
- before 18 September 2000
- 18 September 2000 to 31 March 2003 inclusive
- from 1 April 2003
with respect to land subject to native title under the Native Title Act 1993.
The following table shows which process applies according to the date the application was lodged.
