In this context, field cropping refers to the dryland and irrigated production of crops, typically on a large scale.  Major field crops in Queensland include: barley, chickpeas, cotton, lucerne, maize, mungbeans, oats, peanuts, sorghum, soybeans, sunflower and wheat.
