Land management initiatives
- The development of farm management systems (FMS) is a key industry and whole-of-government initiative for property planning. Landholders can use these voluntary property and business level management processes to identify and manage risks (particularly environmental ones) that may occur as a result of farming operations.
- Blueprint for the Bush is a Queensland Government initiative aimed at helping landholders adapt to changing conditions, address rural issues and needs, and improve the sustainable management of the state's natural resources.
- The Cape York Peninsula Heritage Act 2007 is a significant land management initiative that reaches common ground between Indigenous and non–Indigenous people, and between conservation and development interests. The Act creates a framework for ecologically sustainable development in the region.
- The Delbessie Agreement (State Rural Leasehold Land Strategy), which is a plan for the sustainable use, protection and rehabilitation of rural leasehold land is the result of a partnership between the Queensland Government, AgForce Queensland and the Australian Rainforest Conservation Society.
