Queensland Heritage Council

The Queensland Heritage Council is an independent statutory authority and not part of a government department.  The council is given technical and administrative support by DERM.

The Queensland Heritage Council is Queensland's peak heritage body.  The members of the Queensland Heritage Council work to protect and conserve the state's significant historic places. The council provides heritage advice to the Minister for Climate Change and Sustainability.
