Defined Forest Area maps

The Australian Forestry Standard, AS 4708:2007, defines the Defined Forest Area as the area to which the requirements of the Standard are applied, and to which management control can be demonstrated.

Consistent with this definition, and in the context of DERM Forest Products business, the Defined Forest Area is the area of State-controlled land designated for timber production and related commercial forest management activities. The forest management system that DERM Forest Products applies to this Defined Forest Area is certified to the Standard.
