Water quality monitoring programs
The department conducts various monitoring programs throughout Queensland. Some are managed by the department alone, but many are partnership programs with DNR, local government and catchment groups.
The department officers sample water quality in Queensland waterways every month. Data collected is used in managing human impacts on our waterways. For information on sampling methods, sampling sites and results, follow the links on this page.
