Water Quality Online

The Water Quality program was a jointly funded Australian and Queensland Government initiative under the National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality.

The Water Quality program provided Regional Bodies with products and information to address water quality issues in their NRM plans.

Queensland wetlands program

The department along with the Australian Government Department of Environment and Water Resources are the lead agencies, for the Queensland Wetlands Programme. The Queensland Wetlands Programme was established to protect wetlands in the Great Barrier Reef catchment and throughout Queensland. Many Queensland Wetlands Program projects have been completed and the products from these projects are available through WetlandInfo. 

Fitzroy Basin Projects 

The Department of Environment and Resource Management and the Fitzroy Basin Association have been working together to identify environmental values and establish water quality objectives for the Fitzroy Basin, pursuant to the Environmental Protection (Water) Policy 2009. This is one of a number of related Fitzroy River water projects.
