Resource kit
Because there are significant changes to the litter laws, there is a three-month amnesty period before the laws are enforced. The amnesty period gives councils and government departments time to learn about the new laws and let the community know about the changes. The new laws will come into effect on 11 February 2008.
To assist this process the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency has prepared a Don't Rubbish Queensland resource kit. The resource kit aims to advise councils, government agencies and stakeholders about the changes to the litter laws. The resource kit also aims to support councils and government agencies communicate the new litter laws to the community and key stakeholders. Resource kit contents:
- Fact sheets
- Frequently asked questions
- Posters
- Advertisements
- Media template
- Sample letters
- Vehicle stakeholder resources
- Education resources
To order a free copy of the resource kit CD email litter@epa.qld.gov.au.
