Awareness Raising Materials for Public Place Recycling

The Queensland Government has prepared a range of sticker, poster, signage and promotional materials. Signage is also available for application behind the scenes to aid staff such as caterers and cleaners to operate recycling systems effectively.

It is well known the secret to successful awareness raising is to ensure visual consistency and identity. We encourage councils, venue and public area managers to consider utilising the awareness raising and signage materials with any existing or future recycling infrastructure. This will help spread a uniform recycling message across Queensland, enabling Queenslanders to 'Do the right thing and Use the right bin.

Who is eligible?

At present only organisations in Queensland who have or plan to have a public recycling system are eligible.

What do you need from us?

All you need to do is fill in the application form and return to the department providing brief details about the recycling system the awareness raising materials will be applied to, the recycling materials or artwork option you require and how you plan to return data on recycling (tonnes and/or volume m3) to the department. You will need to carefully read the terms and conditions and sign and date the consent section.

What is available?

A number of materials are available free of charge and these items can be located in the Public Place Recycling Catalogue (depending on availability - please check key). To obtain materials you will need to complete the application form and return to the department.

What if we want to incorporate our own organisation's logo into the artwork?

Artwork has been prepared to enable organisations to insert their own logo alongside the Queensland Government logo. These options can be located in the Public Place Recycling 'Template Catalogue'. On receipt of a completed application form the template artwork will be sent to you on a CD. The cost of the customised printing is to be met by the applicant.

What if I want to create my own designs using the Public Place Recycling artwork?

A 'Components Catalogue' and accompanying 'Style Guide' has been prepared to enable your design team to reorganise the components of the department artwork to suit your organisations style needs. On receipt of a completed application form the components artwork will be sent to you on a CD. The cost of the customised printing is to be met by the applicant.
