More About QWESTNet

The current drought and the world’s changing climate present risks, challenges and opportunities for all businesses. Small enterprises are exposed to emerging trends that will shape and influence the major economic, social and environmental themes of the years ahead.

Modern sustainable technologies can deliver significant efficiencies in energy and water use, and benefit Queensland businesses both financially and environmentally.

A survey by the Departments Sustainable Industries Division, revealed a need for a forum for sustainable technology users, developers and retailers to share information, discuss their needs and capabilities, and explore collaborative relationships and solutions by adopting such technologies. See Sustainable Technologies Business Information Needs 2007 Survey Report.

QWESTNet (Queensland Water and Energy Sustainable Technologies Network) aims to bring together sustainable technology users and retailers in an informal environment where relevant technologies, independent overviews and case studies are presented and discussed. Participants can also network with current users of sustainable technologies.

This is an excellent opportunity for Queensland businesses to develop beneficial networks and explore current and future sustainable technologies to better manage their energy and water use and reduce costs.
