Sustainability - Managing risk and creating opportunities

Many programs have been established within the department to help industries achieve competitive advantage by moving beyond compliance levels of environmental performance to new standards of eco-efficiency and eco-marketing.

Through its Sustainable Industries Branch, the department offers help and advice, a consumer information service and training support services. These are delivered largely through industry associations. In partnership with the associations of key industry sectors we are working on long-term strategies to improve the quality of life for all Queenslanders. Our mission is to help Queensland industry to invest, compete and profit sustainably.

How can we help you?

Whether you are a small business owner or an employee in a large organisation, a primary producer or a schoolteacher, a homeowner or soon to become one, we can help you find ways to improve your sustainability and probably save money at the same time.
