QSEIF funding is a targeted initiative to support the development of new sustainable technologies in Queensland that result in water and/or energy savings. There are a range of other sources of funding and advice that can assist businesses develop and commercialise new technologies. The REEF program is a specialist renewable energy equity fund based on the Innovation Investment Fund (IIF) model. It provides venture capital (equity) to assist small companies to commercialise R&D in renewable energy technologies.

Australian Technology Showcase is a national and international campaign designed to promote leading-edge Australian technology and the skills of the companies that produce them.
Low Emissions Technology Demonstration Fund (LETDF)
The $500 million Low Emissions Technology Demonstration Fund is a flagship initiative of the Australian Government's Energy White Paper: Securing Australia's Energy Future. The objective of the Fund is to demonstrate the commercial potential of new energy technologies or processes or the application of overseas technologies or processes to Australian circumstances to deliver long-term large-scale greenhouse gas emission reductions.
Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP)
Industry Cooperative Innovation Program (ICIP) is a merit based grants program aimed at encouraging business-to-business cooperation on innovation projects that enhance productivity, growth and international competitiveness in Australian industries.
Ethanol Production Grants (EPG)
The Ethanol Production Grants (EPG) program is an eligibility-based program; its objective is to encourage the use of biofuels in transport in Australia.
Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business (BESB)
Building Entrepreneurship in Small Business (BESB) is a suite of four competitive merit-based grant initiatives which support a new culture of entrepreneurship by providing grants focusing on the ongoing improvement of Australia's small business operating skills.
Renewable Energy Development Initiative (REDI)
REDI is a competitive merit-based grant program supporting Renewable Energy innovation and its commercialisation. It provides grant funding up to $100 million in competitive grants to allocate to Australian businesses over seven years. It offers grants of between $50,000 and $5 million for research and development (R&D), proof-of-concept, and early-stage commercialisation projects with high commercial and greenhouse gas abatement potential.

Technology Transfer - TechFast
TechFast, a national program funded by the Australian Government Department of Industry, Tourism and Resources, aims to encourage established and technology receptive small to medium enterprises (SMEs) adopt commercially viable technologies and know-how from Australian research organisations.
The Triton Foundation
The Triton Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established in 2000 for the purpose of helping individuals and small businesses across Australia to create commercially viable new products. The Triton Foundation project manages innovators through each step of the foundations new product commercialisation process - from product concept screening to a virtual incubator that grows sustainable, profitable businesses.

QSEIF Round 14.
Applications are expected to be called for Round 14 in March/April 2009, with selected projects to commence in the latter half of 2009.
Prospective applicants are encouraged to contact QSEIF project officers to discuss future project proposals.
