Codrilla Coal Mine Project
The Coppabella and Moorvale Joint Venture is the proponent for the Codrilla Coal Mine Project with Macarthur Coal having 73.3% ownership. The proponent made application on 29 June 2009 under section 71 of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 for the preparation of a voluntary environmental impact statement (EIS). The application was approved on 3 July 2009.
The status of the process for the assessment of the Codrilla Coal Mine Project is as follows:
The EIS assessment report was issued to the proponent on 24 October 2011 and the EIS process under Chapter 3, Part 1 of the EP Act has been completed.
