In partnership with industry and community groups, the department is helping Queenslanders reach innovative solutions to meet today's resource management challenges such as the increasing demand on water supply and competing land use needs.
Resource guides for NRM
- The Land Managers Monitoring Guide provides a suite of monitoring tools for landholders across all relevant agricultural sectors to inform management actions and demonstrate environmental performance.
- Soil conservation measures—a design manual for Queensland is a useful source of information on managing soil erosion—a major threat to the agricultural lands of Queensland.

Community groups and programs
- Find out which natural resource management region you are in and what groups are involved in NRM in your region.
- The Waterwatch Queensland website has information and resources for individuals and groups wanting to become more involved in monitoring their local waterways.
- Weedbusters is a national program that aims to raise awareness about the damage weeds cause. It culminates each October, with Weedbuster Week, which incorporates local on-ground weedbusting and site rehabilitation. The program gives local government, regional management and landcare/catchment groups a chance to join with schools to teach students about local weed problems and issues throughout the year.
- The Regional NRM Groups Collective website provides links to each regional NRM bodies in Queensland, each of which works closely with their local community groups.
