Environment and Resource Management

Partnership

If your business has demonstrated environmental improvements by either completing the ecoBiz Program or through another means (i.e. implemented improvements yourself or with the help of another program), you are eligible to become an ecoBiz Partner  subject to the criteria below.

Criteria 1: Approved ecoBiz participant

Your business must be an approved participant in the ecoBiz program. Approved participants have submitted a completed application form and received a welcome letter to acknowledge their participation in the ecoBiz program.

Criteria 2: Complete Steps 2 - 6 of the ecoBiz program

The steps must be appropriately documented and verified by an ecoBiz project officer. We recommend your business complete steps 2-6 within twelve months of joining the program.

Becoming an ecoBiz Partner without using the ecoBiz Toolbox

While we provide a range of tools and resources and a structured program to complete, as long as you fulfil our Partnership Criteria you are eligible to become a partner.

If your business has already implemented eco-efficient practices or is just starting out and would prefer not to use our toolbox, you are still able to enjoy the benefits of becoming an ecoBiz Partner.

Criteria 3: Demonstrated environmental improvements

Note: Additional improvements to the wider sustainability of the site may also be considered as justification for ecoBiz partnership at the discretion of the ecoBiz project officer.

Criteria 4: Compliance

Participants applying for Partnership must be compliant with Queensland Government legislation and maintain this compliance throughout their Partnership with the ecoBiz program. Partnership may be temporarily or permanently suspended or terminated if compliance issues arise.

Maintaining partnership

ecoBiz partnership is initially valid for a period of one year. To maintain ecoBiz partnership your business must continue to submit action plans and reassessments on an ongoing basis.
