Redlands Nursery is a production nursery operating out of two sites in Redland Bay. The nursery upgraded their irrigation sprinklers and pressure regulators to reduce water usage, and installed efficient irrigation pumps to reduce energy use. By replacing non-recyclable plant trays with reusable collapsible bins, they significantly reduced their waste and saved on transport costs as bins could be collapsed prior to being shipped back to the nursery. The nursery also implemented a recycling program for cardboard and steel and began reusing potting mix in top soil and mulch.
