Noosa Library (Sunshine Coast Regional Council) installed a 3 kW solar power system to generate their own electricity, and reduced energy usage within their centre by replacing halogen lights with energy efficient alternatives and reducing air conditioner usage. They removed plastic cups from their water coolers to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill. These initiatives have led to a reduction in their environmental impact and operating costs, freeing up more funds to provide services to the community.

- Greenhouse Gas 24% (11 cars or 43.84 t CO2-e)
- Waste disposal 71% (498 wheelie bins or 119 m3)
